ANGEL SUPPORT FOUNDATION (ASF) is a non-governmental organization with special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC), non-religious, non-partisan and non-racial organization that derives its existence from the need to create a society and people with a purposeful driven attitude towards environmental sustenance, with particular focus on women, Children and the youth, creating an adequately sensitized and mobilized populace to embrace positive environmental and hygienic behaviors that would ultimately support livelihood

The Growing Women (G-Women)

One of the core areas of ASF is reaching out to the indigent and destitute women who are still at the basic level of human survival through empowerment. The Growing Women (G-Women) project is an empowerment scheme that has been set up by Angel Support Foundation for indigent women as an enabling background for them to start up small scale businesses, with adequate monitoring and support from our team to ensure sustainability.

Sexual and Gender Based Violence

A community needs assessment (CONA) carried out at the Internally Displaced Persons’, camp Daudu, Guma Local Government Area of Benue state, revealed among other things that teenage girls and women were exposed to sexual exploitation and other forms of gender based violence. The CONA also showed that most of the girls were out of school and without a means of livelihood to cater for their needs which further makes them vulnerable.
